Expanding My Comfort Zone – Part I

I’m a little too comfortable being comfortable. Recently, I made a few leaps and landed successfully. Maybe it’s time to stretch a little more, and maybe….make room for more life in my life? A few recent successful leaps include:

1. Started a blog (and made new friends).

2. Wrote a short story and submitted it to Writer’s Digest Competition.

3. Started to learn French.

4. Tried new recipies (curried apple couscous, anyone?)

5. Bought a pickup truck (and feel like a new person).

6. Told the truth when a fib would have been easier, a lot easier.

7. Held my tongue and allowed someone else to be right (that was tough!)

8. Wrote to an author I admire and requested a meeting (and had coffee and conversation with him!)

9. Broached the subject of estate planning with my husband (and took a few preliminary first steps).

10. Began posting chapters of my WIP on my blog as part of the Dickens Challenge.

Next time, I’ll post my thoughts on new leaps on the horizon.
